In the "SSH" tab of the "Edit Favorite …" there is a pop-up
menu for "Method". Next to entries for port forwarding,
there is one that says "Request tty".
A pop-up menu is supposed to be an XOR, so users presume a
tty will not be requested when port forwarding is choosen,
yet the trace shows it is requested, and we do get a shell.

I don't want that shell. But, then you will need to develop
another UI to close a tunnel.
For know, I propose to rename the menu entry to "No port
forwarding" instead of "Request tty".

beside 'Request pty' is written 'default'. MacSSH just uses
lsh default options, which is to request a shell.

to disable a shell request, simply add -N in the 'Command'
field of the security tab in your favorite settings.

the terminal window will still open, but you can create a
tiny terminal just for port forwarding. close this terminal
and the forwarded connection will close.
