It is extremely useful in association with a Network Storage.
Main features:
- user home backup. Possibility for the user to list the exclusions
- backup rotation, with configurable history (number of backups to keep)
- unlimited types of backup. Just name your backup with a prefix and that's it.
- Shell script - can be setup by the administrator in the crontab for each user.

It uses rsync and hard link capabilities of the unix file system therefore allowing multiple backups to be stored without duplicating each time file contents and therefore storage. It efficiently deals with file transfer as it only backs up changes, deletions etc.

WikiPage Home modified by Stefano Passiglia

Welcome to your wiki!
