    Hello,

I have a unibody MacBook Pro (17 inch) bought in late 2009 (2.53 Ghz, 4 mb ram, 256G SSD hard drive, with the two Nvidia Cards).  I tried to run MacFan via the command prompt and received the following error message:

    MacFan Version .65 Build 11.3.2009.4

Checking running processes for conflicting programs…
Bootcamp.exe closed successfully. It will be reopened on application exit.
Move your mouse over the duplicate system tray icon to get rid of it.
PROBLEM LOADING IO DRIVERS. EXECUTION STOPPED.

Number of fans in the system: -1

    Reading fan data…

Machine not found in database. MacFan should still work normally.
    Recording fan speeds to file…

All values successfully recorded. Please copy and paste the above
minimum and maximum values and post them in the Open Discussion forum
at sourceforge.net/MacFan along with your computer model (you can get
this in the System Profiler in Mac OS X) so I can add your computer to
the MacFan database. Thanks in advance.

Unexpected error. Make sure number of arguments passed matches number of fans
    in your computer.

    Successfully started BootCamp.exe

ANY ideas why this wont work?

    Roger

I fixed it by running it with administrative privilege for first time.
Program need to install it's driver and check registry settings to be able to work with hardware without administrative privileges.
