Upon installing Macbuntu the form fields in firefox are really big. I would say they are almost twice the normal size. Any thoughts about where to fix this? Anyone else experience this?
I am running Ubuntu 10.10 and the development builds of Firefox (Namoroka)
Yes, I am experiencing it too. I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 with Macbuntu 10.10 and I have the same problem. All fields in Firefox have twice the width they have in chrome (in the same machine) and twice the width they have in any other browser in another machine that doesn't have Macbuntu installed.
The only way a input field is displayed with is right width es when it is styled with CSS, for example, if the input code looks like this:
<input type="text" style="width:100px;" />
It will be displayed with it's correct width.
Any information about a fix either from developers or the community would be appreciated.
I've the exact same problem. I've tried on several different PCs. Also running both Ubuntu 10.04.1 and 10.10
I develop sites and i've noticed this only using Macbuntu, Using only the standard theme of ubuntu works fine.
The workaround suggested by sergio-b works for my templates. but there are many sites i often visit that has this annoying problem… pity :/
for example the for for the upload in http://oron.com/ the bar is so long that the browse button goes beyond the screen (even if i'm running a 1920x1080 resolution) and i've to scroll orizontally to press it)
other example is the login form of the site http://www.fanta-trade.eu/
Hope the developers will read this…
In any case Thanks for your work here
