The Ignore checkbox randomly gets set (see screenshot), stopping mail checks without any visible notification.
I discover this only after I start noticing I haven't had any mail in a while and so check (and fix!) my configuration.

In the process of testing the next build of MacBiff, I encountered this same exact issue. I'm still not sure of the cause, but since it looks like I can reproduce it, that's one step closer to fixing it.

I'm having a similar (though different) problem in v1.1.15... specifically, the INBOX gets set to "Disabled" rather than "Ignore." This primarily affects my Gmail account but can affect other accounts, as well... it appears to be semi-random, and I haven't yet figured out any correlations (though it may be tied to connection problems when checking mail).

I don't know if it's the same problem, but it's certainly similar. Let me know if I should open a new bug for it.

Can we set the priority on this to high? It's really the equivalent of a data-loss issue, or, rather, a severe crippling of functionality.

I take it from the Changelog that 1.1.16 doesn't fix this issue? Anything I can provide (logs, etc.) that might help track this down? It is a particular problem for Gmail, which gets set to "Ignore" at least once every couple of weeks, if not more often.

I never got to the bottom of this issue. It does seem to be tied to a very specific set of circumstances as it's not happening to everyone. At this point, I'll gladly accept patches, but unfortunately I just don't have the time work on this right now.

Just checking in on this. The bug is cropping up almost every day now, on both of the machines where I'm running MacBiff. I would absolutely love to get to the bottom of this.

I'll also note that I often get random "password failed" errors, which resolve themselves after a few minutes... I would chalk it up to network effects but none of my other email programs report bad passwords, so I suspect that MacBiff is not properly handling timeouts that occur during the password stage of login, i.e. it may be treating a timeout during (or immediately after) the password as a bad pass, when it should just be treating it as a timeout.

    Thoughts?
