I am attempting to DEMUX a series of .VOB files that I got
from a DVD Recorder disk from a TIVO player. When I drop
the file onto the program, the program searches and finds
the right number of streams, then pops up an error window
right as it starts to demux with the following error "Could not
open data fork of output file" then after a bit another popup
over the first one saying "Could not write to disk - Disk may
be full" and an OK button. If I check "Log Details to File" in
the preferences before attempting to demux a file, it pops up
a blank popup with an OK button. After waiting a bit, the
program will add the text "Could not create logfile".
I have three drives, the smallest of which has over 25GB of
space on it. Also, I am running Mac OS X Version 10.3.2
with all of the latest patches as of 12/25/03 on a G4/867
with 1.12GB of RAM.

I received the same error, but what I was doing wrong was that I was
simply dragging the files from the DVD directly into the program.
However, if I first COPIED the files from the DVD to a hard drive, then
dragged the files to the application's window, the application "demux'd"
without error.

The work around is to use the file menu to open the VOB file rather than
dragging and dropping, that way you specify an output location, dragging
seems to allocate the output to a non determined location, hence the error.

I think the VOB file that you want to convert must locates on the Start-up
volume.
I tried to read VOB file from the DVD (non-copy protected) but the software
hung up. I also try to the copyed VOB file that locates the HD other than the
start-up failed.
I copyed the VOB file form the DVD to my start-up thisk then it's works fine.
