Issues with Ubuntu 8.10 are known (as mentioned in other posts). While some issues are being fixed I'm clueless about others. Meanwhile, if anybody can lend a helping hand in fixing the issues, I'd appreciate that :)

      Hello infra_red_dude,
Where can I find a full list of the problems with ibex? I can help to solve some of them.

      By the way,
There is another problem maybe not reported that for drag'n drop in evolution, aand nautilus you cannot see the frame around the folder, I have changed many different options, with no success.
Documentation? engines? (I have no idea how engines works, but I can have a look at it if you give me some clue).
      Cheers!
      Tito

      Hi,

I have some screenshots from problems in ubuntu 8.10.

is there any way to send those to you ?

btw i can see three problem

1 - in shutdown dialog (system >> shutdown) suspend doesn't have its icon. there is just a big question mark icon instead.

2 - when i move mouse in firefox icons, ( bookmarks pages or navigation icons) the background of icons changes.
it looks lighter then other part.

3 - it seems scrollbar image in firefox has some transparency problem.

i can send screenshots to your email address or some where else.

      thanks
      shams

They are known issues, but if you could post the Firefox pictures to an online service (Picasa, Flickr, Photobucket, etc.) and post the links I'd be glad to take a look at them myself, although I'm not the developer of the themes. We've found that the themes in the RC are outdated, but we can see if they're still present when we get the updates.

Yes, the major component of the RC pack to be updated is the Mozilla stuff. Hardin (bostonpeng) and Dr.P are working on it. We hope to haf a working set in the final release :)

Thanks for posting those. The Firefox issues look fixed in updates from DrP (http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=6141065&postcount=97), and infra is working on the Suspend icon issue. I hadn't noticed that one myself since I don't use Suspend/Hibernate on my desktop, but it's definitely a known issue.

Regarding the problem with the suspend icon,
I just change the size of ./scalable/status/gtk-missing-image.png to 48x48 (previously was 128x128) so now looks perfect on that menu. I do not know if this is a good fix but for me it works.

          Cheers!

      @mohammad shamsi

You are facing the firefox issue because it is using the default theme. Dr.P and Hardin are fixing the Mozilla themes. Once you install that everything will be fine. So its not exactly a bug.

Regarding the second pic, as I already mentioned that issue has been fixed :)
