When adding a volume containing FLAC files, the status
display will hang at the first file (the same file name is
displayed all the time), while the animated icon on the
left still moves. Upon clicking "Cancel", the program will
stall completely and can only be closed via
CTRL-ALT-DEL.

The files contain no invalid (i.e. non-FLAC) tags.

    I could second that.
But (as far as I found) only true, when there is more than just
the FLAC tag (e.g. ID3V1/ID3V2). All other FLACS (with the
    FLAC tag only) work.

I can confirm that, too. Library hangs while scanning, only
solution to prevent this is too delete the folder and scan
again. With large libraries, this makes MAC unusable i
think, because noone wants to delete his music to make the
    program work.

I am experiencing this problem, too. Really is prohibitive, i.e. the only way to workaround it is to remove the problem FLAC file, which isn't feasible for read-only media.

MAC looks great, was really excited about using it. Any plan to address this issue? Has there been any progress to-date?

It's really strange this bug is appearing now since I've built my collection with lots of DVD's full of flacs.

Hope somebody can fix this since it is very annoying and I can't continue adding volumes to my collection.

If anyone wants more info on my flac settings/dvd drive/pc configuration please contact me.
