Sorry, I have to take back words on my previous mail. There's no remaining problem. I can toggle between X and XDGA with Ctrl-Alt-Cmd-Space. Without Alt, X (or the window manager, icewm in my case) seems to steal the keypress. Risto |

In the beginning the resolutions were incorrect: I only saw upper left corner of my desktop (320x240 of 1024x768). The remaining problem is that I cannot enable normal windowed mode (xvideo), and toggle between them. This would make it really useful. A comment in molrc.video says: Cntrl-Cmd-space leaves XDGA mode and switches back to X. Maybe it could work the other way, too... as it's now, there is no way to tell if it really works. Looking at the docs makes me think that the correct way to handle the XDGA mode numbering would be as follows (on top of the previous patch)... Hi, The following patch helped me solve my XDGA problem. It should be applied in mol-0.9.72 with 'patch -p0 -i mol-0.9.72-xdga.patch'. It's tested on a beige G3 with Ubuntu Dapper and xorg 7.0.0. Hi Not really a mol issue but I'm trying to understand something about forth script and yaboot: The biggest issue with yaboot is that it's 'machine dependent ' ie if you move the disk devices in ofboot.b and yaboot.conf will be wrong. linux can uses root=UUID=9b33962f-8b9a-4b9a-9236-bc438c061cd0 and it works in yaboot.conf if you quote UUID= root="UUID=9b33962f-8b9a-4b9a-9236-bc438c061cd0" The PPCRD liveCD use the syntax &device; in ofboot.b (the CHRP script) and it works, at least here. Anyone knows where it's coming from? I searched (quickly) openfirmware stuff, Apple site and forth sites but didn't find anything. And more important anyone knows if it works on all Macs? Thanks Didier |
