[Mac-emacs-users] ispell, python-mode

Trying to learn python and emacs. Running OS X 10.1.4, mac-emacs 21.1 
from binary. I've installed ispell and python-mode. I'm using the same 
.emacs for both administrator and user accounts. Ispell works as 
administrator, but not as user. Python mode works, but can't start the 
interpreter as admin or user. Both ispell and python reside in 
/usr/local/bin. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
