[Mac-emacs-users] META Key in Shell

Hi All,

I have the META key working as the option key on my TiBook, thanks to the
mac-command-key-is-meta variable. However, when I run emacs from the shell
(emacs -nw), neither the option nor the command key work as the META key --
only the escape key works. Anyone know how to get the option key to function
as the META key when Emacs is run from the shell?

I'm running 21.1.30.1 patched for OS X.
