[Mac-emacs-users] Emacs.app problems

Hi,

I'm having a weird problem when launching Emacs.app. This is the error 
message I get:

An error has occurred while loading `/Users/etrajano/.emacs':

error: "Fontset \"-*-fixed-medium-r-normal-*-16-*-*-*-*-*-fontset-mac\" 
already exists"

To ensure normal operation, you should investigate the cause
of the error in your initialization file and remove it.  Start
Emacs with the `--debug-init' option to view a complete error
backtrace

I could not start Emacs.app with the '--debug-init' option. Here is what 
I get:

[localhost:~] etrajano% open -a Emacs --debug-init
2002-03-30 11:52:25.780 open[9364] No such file: 
/Users/etrajano/--debug-init

It seems that it's not possible do pass arguments to the Emacs App. I'm 
using Mr. Choi's .emacs file. The only difference is that I wrote the 
following line in it

(set-keyboard-coding-system 'iso-latin-1)

As I said, this problem is very weird, because when I type

emacs -nw

emacs starts in my terminal window *without* any problems. I'm an emacs 
newbie and just can't understand what is happening. Does anybody know 
what is going on?? TIA.
