Hello guys, I'm cc-ing some of you directly, as I suppose you're no longer subscribed to the list. I own a Creative Live Cam Voice webcam, which is based on m5603c and an unknown sensor chip, and I want to make it work with Linux. I couldn't get to this work for a long time, yet it's been bugging me that I have the cam and I'm unable to make it work. I first tried to reverse engineer the USB protocol, but doing so proved quite difficult, especially on Windows, and then I (again) found this project and started playing with it. As bits rot, the code currently in SVN is no longer compilable. I'm going to try to hack around it to make it build, as well as the test/debug utilities, so that I can play with the data I get from the device. I suppose I'm going to have a lot of troubles with firmware, even though the Windows driver includes something that looks like it. I just wonder, have you managed to get more information from ALi guys? -- Cheers, Andrew |
