I have a gzip file and want to recompress it with xz
I tried the following:
gzip -c -d file.gz.aa | xz -k -7
gzip -c -d file.gz.aa | xz -k -7 -
gzip -c -d file.gz.aa | xz -k -7 - file.xz.aa
I always get: "Compressed data cannot be written to a terminal"
How can I manage that?
gzip -cd file.gz | xz -7 > file.xz
