#3 Use of KDialog

Hi Manuel,
yesterday I updated lxp-icewm to the current version - I did not do it before because icewm-versions < 1.2.29 had problems with qt4 applications.

I am really impressed about the new Vista-Theme and the mixer applet you have added. Great work and lxp-icewm is my default window-manager now.

I would like to let you know about to really small issues.

#1 gnome-settings-daemon
Since I run SuSE 9.3 I kindly ask you to add this line

/opt/gnome/lib/control-center-2.0/gnome-settings-daemon \

to the lxp-startup script. This is the place where this daemon is located in SuSE 9.3

#2 Use of KDialog
One of the advantages of icewm/ lxp-icewm is, that it does not need the KDE libraries and daemons. But if "Execute" is selected from the main menu all these daemons

8053 ? S 0:00 kded [kdeinit]

are loaded. This takes quite a long time. Do you think about using "something" from gnome instead?

First of all thank you for try lxp.

My answers:
1.- I'll add /opt/gnome/lib/control-center-2.0/gnome-settings-daemon to the search path of gnome-settings-daemon in lxp-startup.
2.- lxp scripts use zenity (from gnome), kdialog or xdialog (in this order) to display alerts, messages, input-boxes etc. Kdialog launchs some kde daemons if they are not in execution. I'll considerate to alter the search order to: zenity, xdialog, kdialog, so installing xdialog kdialog will never used. Other solution for you is to install zenity, but this needs some gnome packages.
