I have a system with separate /home and /data partitions and have changed my *Ubuntu based distro quite a few times now. I've recently done a clean install of Lubuntu 13.04, and find that once again I have redundant entries in the menu structure which are dead links to software no longer installed.
I had hoped that lxmed would let me delete these dead items from the menus, but they simply don't show up when I run lxmed. All the items listed are green, mostly bold, and all needed in the menu. The menu the system shows hasn't changed, and has many dead entries.
Any ideas what I should try next?
OK, I have managed to solve my problem using MenuLibre
thanks to vasa1 on the Ubuntu forum.
