#6 Internet and/or desktop stream
There are many sources of internet streams. Moreover some of them (like sport activities) are flash based (probably because of advertisements). I don't know if it is possible, but streaming of live desktop could transfer this type of content to the TV. It would be useful for presentations too.
It's only idea, maybe not so good for this lightweight software. But why not discuss it :-)
Not tested, but VLC is able to stream screen:// source to localhost. So only missing piece is localhost stream in LXi media library.
