Here is a better version of the lxpanel run. About the mimetypes for 
pcmanfm I fixed adding these schemes (below) to the pcmanfm.desktop.

x-scheme-handler/smb
x-scheme-handler/sftp
x-scheme-handler/ftp
x-scheme-handler/file


Please consider include it on the git.
