The first one (lxde-i18n@) is for translation coordination.
The second one (lxde-list@) is for development of lxde components
(including pcmanfm and libfm in some fashion but they also have their
A real user list does not exist and as long as the user related traffic
is not overwhelming I think it should go to lxde-list@...
The topic for lxde-list@ is in my opinion build issues, road map and
related things. Regular "how can I make thing X work in distribution Y"
is not really on topic and dealt with if someone from that distro is
around to answer or if anyone else can help.
I hope this can be a guidance for the future. This discussion, if
continuing on should be on lxde-list@ not lxde-i18n@...
