Hello, I think it's time to solve this issue. Transifex has long been a good system helping us managing translations and it did it very well in the past. However, as the new versions of Transifex brings some radical changes to workflow and removes integration with version control systems, it's no more the right tool for us. After some lengthy discussion, no easy solution to kept our old workflow was found. So I'd like to ask if we should drop Transifex and have all the translators on Transifex.net move to Pootle. Though the integration between Pootle and git is not elegant, brother did a great job to keep it working well. Developers and translators, please leave your comment. |

"not elegant" - nicely put =) I'll try to find us a better machine than the one we have now. Regarding transifex, have you guys considered forking the old version or try an already existing fork? (I have not checked but it's probable someone has already forked it because of similar problems with the workflow) Regards, Hugo |

So, brother, would you please inform the translators on transifex.net and have them registered on your pootle server? No matter we drop transifex or not, it's not usable now so it's reasonable to let them use pootle at this moment. When we have a conclusion on this issue, we can make an official announcement on blog.lxde.org. I'm not sure if all transifex.net translators subscribe this lxde-i18n mailing list. So, can anyone help the coordination and get them informed about this issue? Thanks in advance. My weekend is pretty nice scheduled (parents visiting Saturday afternoon <3) so I'll poke around with this and report back Sunday with what we have. I think that it's fairly sure to say that not all Tx registred addresses are in the lxde-i18n list. If you or christoph can tick some magic box in Tx to elevate my privs it might help. I don't have any administration rights other than for Swedish as far as I remember. - -- brother http://sis.bthstudent.se -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iQEcBAEBCAAGBQJNeflPAAoJEJbdSEaj0jV7IC4H/2Q5nZ8+1kxrnXas5Lzz5PF4 d733HY7TOIynse+s6wQ1mjlORY13X2PguQ05Ya+9i2BX2PpYNlZ5MCdsa+n6ULN9 nxNgz86R80jxxzwIo3qM+Wr71svdFg+Y9JY1WSEiC900AsemnCDwkYWb/XsJi4ya /tQF3zGGaQ76DBigyZAO0xRvhCJpG2MEZ357sWo6t2/Yh2GNGoHNb9SWNvEFeKO/ CHgP2FPrLWl6vlY8tavtUwHIGTZE/cwlGlNf5XpWtTKHigdDElcZ2V592o1u3bWP vi/pfQkJP1Y5d2csQc5gF9HfmiBRa+1QPOuuTR57HNbhHNj1maJuHOQjdu+EkDo= =ICC3 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
