I don't notice any progress there... Does anyone know who is the person behind <sysadmin at lists.lxde.org>, and can report the super-anti-spam problems at the mailing lists there? :) ---- Best wishes, Bob |

Hello everybody. On 2013-10-28 I've received some messages (a copy of "Debian FTP Masters" bounces for the freshly uploaded gpicview/0.2.4-1) from <lxd...@li...>. For the first time. It's wonderful. Let's see if it accepts the current message... ---- Best wishes, Bob |

Yep... By the way, I received your letter via lists.lxde.org: > _______________________________________________ > lxde-debian mailing list > lxd...@li... > http://lists.lxde.org/listinfo/lxde-debian So currently it looks like at least forwarding messages to subscribers works :) ---- Best wishes, Bob |

Hi Bob, Sorry for the long long wait. I have been very busy and don't really know the spam filter setup on lists.lxde.org. @Daniel, Would you mind to help us for the spam filter issue on lists.lxde.org? And @Martin, Would you have time to manage the list admin? Best regards, -Andrew 2013/10/15 Andrej N. The messages I send to <lxd...@li...> are silently ignored and don't appear in list archives. I've even subscribed to that list, but it changes nothing, And <sys...@li...> doesn't look reachable either. ---- Best wishes, Bob |

I'm not sure if that is right that I don't get my mails back. They are in archive though. And I believe mails from non-members should not be silently ignored since that address is somewhat official address of the Debian LXDE Maintainers so users may (and will) write there in regards of debian packaging issues, and if their mails are ignored, users will think Debian LXDE maintainers are MIA. Probably something non-silent would be better. With best regards. Andriy. |

Usually mailing list software sends a notification about non-subscriber's message held for moderation. Anyway, this doesn't explain silent ignoring of messages of some lists subscribers like me. ---- Best wishes, Bob |

Notifications... it's a matter of taste really. Currently those lists are lacking moderation. Maybe, we should allow all messages, adding a "Report spam" button? I don't know really, but someone surely needs to log into lists.lxde.org as administrator and look what's going there, check the logs etc. :) Those mailing lists silently devour the non-members' messages (and sometimes subscribers' messages too)... We've been already debugging it here theoritically for some time :) ---- Best wishes, Bob |
