Hi, Since there are reports of hardware activities from Linode (I have been hosting on Linode for 10 years) that seems suspicious, I decided to shutdown the host and keep a system backup in case someone would like to restart the service, or find some important data from it. I felt like it always ended up no one would like to take the baton and continue running the services, and I would like to apologize for a unilateral decision not to continue serving the website. For domain we have an account on gandi.org that provides lxde.org and lxqt.org. I've been paid for the lxde.org and it will stay until May 2, 2026. For lxqt.org the expiration date is Nov 25 this year. I would like to hand out the management to some organization we can trust, or we might need to move this to a commercial service that we do not have to manage by ourselves. -- Yao Wei |

AFAIK, generally there is no thing (such as trademarks and copyrights) to "transfer" ownership of, and no one with the authority to grant or deny permission to register any domain name - AFAIK, domains are registered on a first-come-first-served basis - that is: anyone may register any domain name which is not currently registered, and no one may object, even if segments of the domain name match someone else's legal or trademark name im not 100% certain about that; but that is how i have always understood it - so, this is only asking SPI to pay the domain fee - nothing else of significance is implied - the only thing being transferred is the responsibility of remembering to renew it next time |

Hi, Do we have further action on this to transfer the domain name to SPI? Or we just need our agreement here? Yao Wei |

Hi, The website lxqt.org is maintained under the same Gandi account. It is also okay for me to move the domain names under SPI as well. Thank you very much for jumping in to carry out the job. I'm very busy working on gnuinos and also in the maintenance of vdev but, if you need some help, please let me know :) In this context, I would like to take this opportunity to ask the lead developers whether there is any road map for LXDE. I still don't know what to think about Wayland, but Xfce is working on porting Xfwm4 to it (Xfway). Btw, do you know the Maynard DE? https://github.com/raspberrypi/maynard/ Cheers, Aitor. |

Hi, I have the access to the domain name on Gandi. Now I paid for the restoration, please wait for a moment for it to restore. I'm wondering who else would like to take the management as I need to step down from it. Hello, The LXDE website (lxde.org) is currently down, and it looks like the domain may need attention from whoever manages it. I wanted to raise the issue in case it's something that can still be taken care of by those responsible. From previous messages, I understand that Yao Wei has been hosting the site. If you also manage the domain, or if you know who does, this would be a good time to check on its status. I'd be glad to help in any way I can. Thank you, Sophie Hamilton |

So, folks. That's it. All LXDE components have been updated and should soon be available in all distributions that include LXDE. All LXDE components? Well, there is no repository for lxdm, which means lxdm is still the old 0.5.3, but patches (up?.patch) are available from https://salsa.debian.org/lxde-team/lxdm/-/tree/debian/sid/debian/patches to fix known bugs.
