sorry to intrude upon your world without much pretext, I am sure this would be all to obvious if I read a little deeper.

as lxde is the best on resources and unity is kinda fatty, what is the current thought being put into lxqt being designed touchscreens in mind?

Right now clicking with the middle mouse button on a window's icon in
lxpanel will result in a pretty useless action - the window will be shaded
or unshaded. It would be nice to make it a useful action instead - close
the window, like how middle-click closes a tab in browsers.

I have already implemented the change on my own computer, and I use it all
the time. I'm sending you the patch file, in case you like the idea:

i installed lxqt on my fedora 20 (64 bit)
now while trying to do yum update i get this error
Error: Package: libfm-gtk-utils-1.2.1-1.1.x86_64 (X11_lxde_lxqt_fedora)
           Requires: libfm-gtk% = 1.2.1-1.1
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

I tried to install libfm-devel and libfm-gtk-devel but could not, becasue i
get the same error there too.
Help please. Regards.

I believe this should be asked off fedora team, that is clearly a
packaging error.

    With best regards,

I think this may be because libfm-gtk places its .pc file in /usr/lib
(or /lib) even on 64-bit systems.

Run these commands to verify:
 pkg-config --list-all | grep libfm

 PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/lib64/pkgconfig pkg-config --list-all | grep libfm

See if you can find libfm-gtk.pc in /usr/lib/pkgconfig and
/usr/lib64/pkgconfig. If the file is there in the former, but not the
latter you can try to link/copy it to /usr/lib64/pkgconfig and try again.

Piotr

    Hello!

I would like to hear from any interested people what do you think
about IconGrid in the LXPanel. I've created a branch 'new-icon-grid' in
the GIT where I rewrote the IconGrid: new PanelIconGrid is not a custom
structure but a widget, derivative of GtkContainer and GtkOrientable,
this way it uses a lot less of specialized APIs and also code became
significally simpler, I hope it will be also more bulletproof and less
leaking. I want all your opinions and criticism before merging it into
master branch.

    With best regards,
    Andriy.

    Hello there!

I believe we have to release LXPanel v. 0.7.0 already, it waits for
release too long. Since nobody gave any opinions I asked for the branch
'new-icon-grid' and no further progress on the branch 'wp-up' I suggest
to merge them into master next evening. And I would suggest to release
version 0.7.0 next week. What do you think?

    With best regards,
    Andriy.

Regarding the icon-grid branch: I did not look at your replacement to
what's in master, but the original implementation was *really* hard to
understand. If you've made it simpler, then go for it.

Regarding wp-up: I think the changes I've made in converting to the new
panel plugin API are not ready to be in master. I would stick with the
original implementation which uses legacy panel plugin API.

Thanks, again, for keeping this thing going.

Warmest wishes,
Piotr
