This feature sounds really interesting.
I am among the people that doesn't use that part of the panel but I
imagine how that would be a really nice feature with a modern
wiiiiiiiiide screen and many virtual desktops.
I love it - and with icons, it's still nice on a not-so-wide screen (laptop, and LXPanel at 80% of screen width) :-).
I almost never used multiple desktops until I started using tint2, with this feature.
