#93 Ability to turn off button and menu icons

GNOME now defaults to not displaying icons on buttons and in menus. While I really hated this at the beginning, I now love the clean look and on slower hardware, menus display noticeably faster.

It would be great if the same was possible in LXDE. Adding two checkboxes to the "Other" section of LXAppearance for this would be great, IMHO.

While it is not yet implemented you can configure LXDE to not display icons on buttons with the desktop configuration file.

Find a file desktop.conf in ~/.config/lxsession/**/desktop.conf (depends on your distro)
Change iGtk/ButtonImages value in [GTK] section to turn off/on button icons. Logout/login to see effect.

0 - do not display button icons
    1 - display button icons

Great... I'll try that later. This does only work for buttons, though? What about menu icons?

Google seems to confirm that iGtk/MenuImages=0 is possible too... :)

I believe this feature is available in the latest "git" version of lxappearance, perhaps this Feature Request should be marked as completed. :)

This is indeed fixed in GIT. Pcman, how about a release?

As 0.5.0 was just released with this feature, closing was fine.
