When switching from eeexandros to debian lenny on my eee pc I was ecstatic that there was a suitable replacement for the eee interface in the form of lxlauncher. It's amazing, but it lacks a simple gui that allows you to reorganize/reorder the tabs, as well as change the position of individual apps.
I believe that the position of apps in a particular tab is determined by the categories in its respective /usr/share/applications/*.desktop file. If so, then one would need to change the category of an app in this file to change its position in lxlauncher. However this could affect other places where a particular app is categorized (i.e in the menu lxpanel applet).
Furthermore, it would be great if you would be able to create and delete tabs. This would make the interface truly customizable, which is the beauty of open source :)
