I am running LXDE on Debian 10.
Netbook with 10" screen the same system that I reported the issue I reported ticket #934
If I right click on the LXDE menu, a small menu pops up, along with the option 'menu settings' if I click on this, I get a box that has the path to the graphic displayed on the menu along with a browse button. So I can change the graphic on the menu,.
I would expect to see a menu settings application. Which is clearly not installed.
I am guessing i need to install
menulibre
While I can probably simply install this, should this settings application be installed by default.? I am not sure if this is a general issue or an issue with Debian 10 or the way the packages are linked together.
Hope this helps
Paul
No, it is exactly what designed to be there. Only button's icon can be changed in menu currently. If you think something may be changed as well then, please, describe it.
Thank you very much.
Ah ok, I was kind of expecting to be able to access a program such as menulibre., which would allow editing of the menu entries. Given that it does say 'menu settings', So maybe if it is just changing button icon, the option should perhaps say 'change button icon'.
Just a thought
Thanks
Paul
You can edit menu entries with PCManFM - just open a folder named
Applicationsand you are able to create new items and folders, move, delete and edit them. No additional tool is required, you have one already.Last edit: Lonely Stranger 2020-05-06
