This may have something more to do with lightdm's guest session and how it deals with lxsession, but the other desktop environments don't seem to be suffering from the same problem. That being said, I hope that the LXDE team could at least provide a little insight. Thanks!

it is indeed an issue with lightdm. i used the old (known working) version of lightdm with various lxsessions and there are no problems. using the new version of lightdm with various lxsessions caused problems every time. still if any insight can be offered, that would be great. might want to render this generally invalid XD

If lxsession is doing something wrong, we need to know what, so we can actually fix the problem. Without more input, we can't fix it. Closing the bug for now. If you have more informations, feel free to re-open.
