As the panel opacity is reduced from 255 to 0 the color deepens, but the background image on the screen is not revealed. At opacity=0, I see a black bar in the panel's position. I expect to see the background image

    Duplicate of 2378621.

Opacity has never been properly implemented. This is being worked on and is expected to be supported in a future release.

This behavior worked on Ubuntu 9.10. Not perfect but it was not so bad.
But I see now the same problem on Ubuntu 10.04 : black bar instead of a transparent panel.

Since it was problem with pcmanfm which was fixed long time ago, I hope this issue is safe to be closed.
