New Fedora21 was added to the support os.
It is possible to use it by installing the LXCF package for Fedora20.

LXCF 0.11 is released. Ubuntu14.10 is added to the support os.

1) Addition of REST API
The REST API function that is able to be used by the protocol of Web by way of the network was added.
REST API is able to be used directly on a browser.
Therefore, it uses it as simple GUI.
Of course, it is possible to use API also with the network tool such as curl.

Ubuntu 14.10 was just released.
LXCF operates on new Ubuntu 14.10.

Release 0.10 is released.

1) The function to preserve the snap shot of the cluster that composes of two or more containers is added. Because only the difference between containers is preserved, the snap shot is almost the same as one container size.

2) The function to convert the container of LXCF into the container of docker is applied.

3) The function to change the name of the container that has already been made is added.

Release 0.9 is opened to the public.
- Speed-up of update processing.

LXCF can be newly used with CentOS 7.
It is possible to use it by installing the package of RHEL7 in CentOS 7.

Release 0.8 is opened to the public.
- Error processing is corrected.
- The spec file is corrected.

The correction of a big function was not and mended many trivial bugs.

Release 0.7 is opened to the public.

• Addition of snapshot function
  The snap shot of the container of LXCF can be taken.
  It is possible to use it to back up the container.
  Moreover, it is possible to use it to forward the container between servers.
  The lack package automatically installs it by LXCF.
• Support of RHEL7
  Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 in addition to Fedora 19 and 20 are supported.
  It is possible to use it by installing the package where Feodora and RHEL7 are the same package.

Red Hat Enterprise 7 is newly supported.

Present release 0.6 can be operated on RHEL7.
Moreover, release 0.7 will be put out afresh in a few days.
Of course, release 0.7 operates on RHEL7, too.

If CenOS7 is released, it will be able to be supported.

LinuxCon Japan 2014 was held on May 20.
LXCF also announced material there.

QA is as follows.
Q: Cannot Ubuntu LXC also renew the package?If possible, isn't Long life support possible
either?
A: LXC is generally made. It is early that LXCF is only a special composition in which it aims at Long life support of the beginning.
Q: What is "Addition of REST API" of "To do" concretely?
A: OpenStack API(Nova & Keystone) is scheduled.
C: Discussion as OpenStack community and advancing of OpenStack API
Q: Isn't there road map?
A: It is not now. The road map is scheduled.
Q: If Copy-on-Write of btrfs is used, does not it become a simpler composition?
A: Correspondence to btrfs is schedule (to do), and it examines what composition is good.

I feel that Node.js is interesting.
I am writing the method of constructing the Web server of Node.js with the LXCF container in Wiki.
JavaScript usually operates only by a browser. However, if Node.js is used, it operates like a usual script language in the command line. Moreover, it is very efficient.

I should devise the method of contributing sources of various people.

I think about the new features included that does the command of LXCF in the queuing.
It takes time to the command of LXCF such as sysgen and clone. Such a command execution is processed by the batch.
The user doesn't wait quietly by this function on the console. If processing is put in Queue fast, all processing comes to be executed automatically.

Moreover, the request of LXCF is scheduled to be able to be used remotely by using the network in the future.
It might be useful for the execution of the demand from such a network.

I went to make a business trip to Tokyo, and wrote the report last week. I busily drove it.
Moreover, it took time for me to switch note PC for the office work to Windows7.
Therefore, I was regrettable being not able to do the activity of LXCF.

I will correct the code of LXCF again this week.

I installed the software of note PC of new Windows7 and many applications.
The purpose is to substitute note PC of Windows XP for office work.
I spent a long time for it.

The next release is 0.4-1.
The interval of release is shortened, and it will release it fast in the future.

The change in the source is newly started for 0.4-1.
The bug is mended, and the quality is improved.
I think whether to add the new function.

LXCF can be operated by release 0.3 on Fedora19　in addition to Fedora20.
LXCF can control the resource of each container by using cgroup. However, the specification of sysfs path of the libvirt cgroup is different by Fedora 19 and 20. Then, to correspond to the difference, I corrected LXCF.

LXCF was made as a tool for LXC of libvirt.

New release-0.3-1 is opened to the public today.
Various bugs are mended.
Fedora 19 in addition to past Fedora 20 is supported as the biggest change point.

Other change points are shown below:

• The file copy of /boot is stopped.
• File tree path is displayed by the list command.
• In deploy, only the relative path under current dir can be used.
• The set-n command is added.
• When cntl-c is pushed sysgen on the way, the container under
  making is deleted.
• Suspend on the way stop is prevented.
• suport of Fedora 19
