#12 saving settings

config file - We were talking about a .viewer directory in
the users home directory. What about some kind of
configuration file that's saved in there too? That way it
can save settings between sessions. In the future
perhaps being able to choose between different
configuration files (AutoCAD lets you choose to load
different "profiles" that contain your settings)

history - Following on from having a saved cfg file... what
about a recently opened files list in the "file" menu at the
bottom with the last 3-4 opened files? In the settings you
might also be able to select how many files you want
listed there (3 most recently opened or 4,5 etc)

In QT3x all of this ability (plus a whole lot more ie:
remembering the locations of tool bars, etc, ) can be
accomplished by new classes added to the tool kit- no
need to write your own. The big advantage (other than
the obvious one of time) is that all using the QT functions
will keep the program cross platform compatible. I think
adding the settings feature should be soon after 1.0 is
released
