Welcome to the Less Wrong Study Hall project page. This project was inspired by Shannon Friedman's "Co-Working Collaboration to Combat Akrasia", which noted that, at least for some people and some projects, sitting down and working is somewhat easier if somebody is watching you. Just to keep you honest.
So the Less Wrong Study Hall was born; a public teleconference with no purpose except to arrange to have other people watch you work, and watch them in return. The current room is here, but will eventually be replaced by this project, which aims to produce an enhanced version of the study hall with additional productivity mindhacks.
