Changing colors

changing color of an element

Color of an element can be changed from the atom properties dialog. The atom properties dialog can be activated from the Edit menu item (select Edit->Atom properties).

After selecting the desired element on the periodic system, the color dialog can be activated with the colored button at the lower left part of the atom properties dialog.
After adjusting color, and clicking the Apply button, color of all atoms that belong to the selected element are changed. Clicking the Save button makes the same change in color and also the new color is written in the [atoms.rc] configurational file.

changing color of a single atom

Changing color of a single atom is done by selecting an atom and clicking change button in the edit notebook page.

The choose element dialog appears and in the custom data expander at the bottom of the dialog, a coloured button at the lower left part of the dialog can be used for changing the color of the selected atom. If the luscus file is saved after the color of at least one atom is changed, data about atom colors is saved in the file. If the file is opened by luscus again, all atoms will have the same colors.
