    I am trying to mount an ftp location on a windows box from my ubuntu system. it works well with anonymous user. that is i can mount the location, see the contents, copy the contents etc. however, when i mount it with username and password, i get an error.

    As anonymous, i run the following command which works:
    $ lufsmount ftpfs://ftpserver ~/mnt/E -o ftpactive,own_fs,dmask=755,fmask=644,uid=1001,gid=1001

    As a regular user on the ftp server, i get an error:
    $ lufsmount ftpfs://akshay_guleria:*****@ftpserver ~/mnt/E -o ftpactive,own_fs,dmask=755,fmask=644,uid=1001,gid=1001

    mount works without any error. and ls on the current directory shows the right permissions
    Here is the error when i try to view the contents of the mount point:
    $ ls -l ~/mnt/E
    ls --- permission denied

    Version info:
    ubuntu 6.10
    kernel 2.6.17-10-generic
    lufs 0.9.7-8
    filezilla ftp (windows)

    Any help is deeply appreciated.

      Sorry. Please ignore this post. Myfault

      I was mounting the 3 partitions in windows ftp server and expecting it to work. once i checked with a gui client, i made out my mistake.

      Its a fanstastic kernel module. works like a charm. I quit using gnome-vfs :)
