#47 access to lufs mount point always hangs

Hi,

I cannot access mount points (e.g. using ls /mnt/lufs) after I mounted a lufs file system on them--the system simply hangs. I tried both mount and lufsd versions with both ftpfs and localfs. My kernel is 2.4.19-4GB (SuSE 8.1 stock). The mount/umount procedure itself works without error and I neither receive messages in /var/log/message nor in /var/log/warn.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
-Maik

I'm aware of this Suse problem. Actually I just received a Suse Professional pack so I might be able to look into it soon.

OK, I took a quick look and for some strange reason, the daemon is blocking in pthread_create. The first thread gets created though.

A quick (and dirty) workaround is to limit the number of channels to 1 (channels=1). This doesn't eliminate the whole problem though, besides leaving some hanging processes at unmount, it will break on SIGINT and others. Worth a try though.

    Still looking into it...
