#33 RPM is out of date

The latest rpm is compiled for an older than current
redhat kernel (which is 2.4.18-19.8.0 at time of writing).
Kernel inserts fine when forced, but I then have
troubles with using ftpfs with a normal user.

    this is hardly a bug.

are the RH8.0 isos out of date? maybe, but that's not the issue. i chose to support RH and that means the official releases, not all the updates.

distributing binary kernel modules is in itself a pretty poor idea, trying to keep up with all the distros/updates out there is even poorer.

so, I have no intention to keep the RPM in sync with the updates. even more, I don't think I will continue to distribute RPMs at all.

    use the source ;)
