It's been done before, and we need to do it too. There's
no reason to rely on the uber-geeks to provide regular
content updates, we should have a scripting language
that can be used to set up areas/encounters/etc. within
the game.
Crystal Space has something called CS Script,
apparently, but I have no idea if it is anything like what
we would need.

The only problem with this is that we have to keep in mind
the possible "Frontpage HTML" issues. Doing a scripting
language that the masses can use is a self defeating process.
I would sugest we work on a front end once we have an idea
of the core. To have a front end we need to have componants
(like encounters) we can use as a basis. I don't see it as
a problem if it's filling in variables and adding them to
the game....if it gets too involved it can become quite the
project on its own :).
