I thought I had a pretty good setup for web-only internet kiosks via LTSP. I setup the OPERA browser in kiosk mode, running without a windowmanager. .xsessions in the guest user home directory just has: opera -kioskmode -someotheroptions... KDM is set to autologin the guest user on three ThinkNICs. It all works quite well. CTRL-ALT-DLT will just refresh the browser, CTRL-ALT-BACKSPC does the same. Every once and a while the autologin will not work and a KDM login prompt will show up, but there is really no option available to the user other than logging in as guest (I would like to see this loggin prompt NEVER show up, any ideas?). Anyway, to my surprise, I found that one of the guests had gotten a full KDE session going and was installing mozilla, and all sorts of stuff in the guest user account.Where did I go wrong? |
