#3 Hardware Detection beforehand
Can we have something which will automatically give me
all the hardware details of a computer which i want to
turn it to a Thin Client.
What happens now is that i have to open up a pc, get
the lan card type and chipset and also the display card
type. Then i put the respective enteries in
configuration files. Had this process been automated, i
wouldnt have to open up each and every pc to get the
details.
has anybody done anything in this respect ?? . I am
trying a make a Linux redhat 7.2 boot + root floopy
which would inturn detect all my hardware .. so that we
can get all the details by just inserting these floppies.
Is somebody working in same direction ?? or do anybody
of you have an utility to detect the hardware beforehand
