We have decided to start adding our NFSv4 test programs to the LTP,
under the new directory: testcases/network/nfs4
in order to make them easily available to anyone (CITI, distros,
(Since the architecture, the features, the daemons, and the commands of
NFSv4 are quite different compared to those of NFSv2&3, we think that
there is a need to create a new directory for LTP NFSv4 tests, different
from the existing one: testcases/network/nfs ).
We will start with adding our NFSv4 locks and ACLs tests.
We will then study adding the other tests we are using:
Since many of the already existing NFSv2&3 tests available at:
testcases/network/nfs may be used for NFSv4 with some modifications, it
seems interesting to study their migration to: testcases/network/nfs4 .
