I failed to boot kernel with gcov. I am wondering if I do something wrong.
Any comments/helps are welcome.
2.5.67, 2.5.70 and 2.5.73, which are all downloaded from kernel.org.
i386 PC (Netvista)
gcov-2.5.67.tar.gz, gcov-2.5.70.tar.gz and gcov-2.5.73.tar.gz, which
all get from sourceforge:
(1) All kernels(2.5.67, 2.5.70 and 2.5.73) can boot and work well
wothout gcov patch.
(2) After applied gcov patch(use the same config as (1) except choose
gcov support) , the kernel can't boot.
That is, just after kernel uncompressed (print uncompressing kernel
..... OK to the console), the machine reboots again itself.
All kernels ran into the same situations.
I have tried gcov/lcov on kernel 2.4.21. Everything is OK.
Have someone met such things before? Are there anything I can do to resolve

Sounds like my primary test machine to make sure the gcov patch
builds/boots. Shouldn't be a problem.
Could you send a copy of your kernel config to me?
