The Lighthouse Remote Desktop project has now completed its move to SourceForge. Originally begun as a class project at North Carolina State University, Lighthouse allows programs to send and receive IMs. Basically, if your program can use sockets, it can send/receive IMs, thanks to Lighthouse!
