A poll was held to decide the new name of LRRD, and "Munin" was the winner. The new project has been created on SourceForge.

LRRD is a package to gather and graph all sorts of data from the machines in your network. Version 0.9.8 attempts to resolve scalability prolems, is more secre, resolves a few bugs, and adds better support for AIX and FreeBSD.

LRRD has gone through quite a lot since the last release. Extra
functionality enabled to the plugins, prettier results, faster and more stable execution, etc. ...not to forget bugfixes.

The system still has some probelems, especially scalability on networks with slow hosts, but that issue is still being worked on.

The package is available in deb (potato and woody*) and tar.gz formats.

(* Needs three packages from testing: ucf, libnet-server-perl, and libconfig-general-perl.)
