LProf/OpenICC Accepted for Google Summer of Code 2008

The OpenICC has been accepted as a mentor organization by Google Summer of Code 2008 for the second year in a row. LProf is part of the OpenICC proposal for GSoC 2008 and has a number of possible student projects listed here:

But students applying can also propose other projects and all proposals will be given serious consideration. For a list of mentor organizations selected by GSoC 2008 look here:

Students who successfully complete their projects will receive a $4,500 stipend from Google. For details on how the stipend is structured look here:

If you are interested please start working on your proposal and getting your GSoC 2008 student application ready right away. All applications must be completed before March 31, 2008.
