Lore was designed from the ground up to be a different kind of interactive fiction; finished stories exist somewhere between a gamebook and a text adventure. Little puzzle-solving is required to complete a Lore story - most emphasis is really placed on story.

The LoreEditor is a C# GTK application that produces Lore games for the web. It is designed to be easy to use - most IF authors will simply be able to start making their own stories with little or no documentation. Note: you may need gtk-sharp to run LoreEditor. Windows users can download it at
