Features

Here is a list of some possible or desirable features, and the extent to which we have implemented them or plan to.

Large file handling	Core issue: handling big logfiles, seen up to 10GB/file.	Delayed scan, delayed inflate of compressed files, separate prescan of first entry, partitioning (*LogPart* level). Some tuning on optimal partition sizes is needed.
Shallow learning curve	Need design for advanced commands. No user experience testing so far.	Using less/vi-like commands should be farily intuitive for navigation.
Search	No design for search/select features yet. Considering some filter mechanism, but afraid a view-on-a-view may make it very complex or unacceptably slow.	(Nothing.)
