Provide a utility that will let you browse through the system logs of a system, and see all the logging for a specific timeframe displayed together, or extract that combined data into a file for later processing and use.
Make it work acceptably fast on small systems and over slow network connections. The main target is to help with remote system diagnostics for embedded or virtual systems.
Package it up nicely to be a drop-in Debian utility, with absolutely minimal learning curve for the user. Basic use should not require reading any manual.
