Unfortunately I have no ideas as to the problem you're running into.  
However, I can tell you that I've done a lot more testing on a 9700 /w 
OS6 than with an 8820 /w OS 4.5 (and I really should have dropped OS 4.5 
support with 2.1, especially since it won't work well with too many 
configured accounts, but I left support in there).

My only suggestion is that when you get those exceptions, *immediately* 
go to the event log and look for those bold Java Exception items, and 
copy them to someplace you can send me.  (assuming LogicMail is 
mentioned somewhere in the dump of text associated with it)
