It is true that this feature was accidentally forgotten from 2.x, as it was added late to 1.1. The funny part is that most of the code for it actually is still in the application. It just isn't hooked up all the way through the UI. However, I'm currently treating v2.0 as string-frozen for internationalization purposes, and this feature does require menu items with text, so it may get pushed to 2.1. That being said, the 2.0 beta is (hopefully) stable enough at this point that I may start merging my fixes back into trunk and get the pre-2.1 development build into a useful state again. Once I do, this may be one of the first features I implement. (Of course if I do have most of the internationalization strings for this feature in the 1.1 code, I may be able to just sneak it into 2.0 anyways. We'll see.) -Derek On 03/09/2011 04:34 PM, Don Ireland wrote: > It is my understanding that the code for 2.x was almost completely rewritten from the ground up. What an incredible upgrade! So many new capabilities! Most important to me was switching identities at the time of composing the email. Really useful! >> > >> > One feature in the old version that was sorta semi-implemented that I was hoping would be fully implemented seems to be completely gone? You could move the cursor ontop of the message and have a menu of options such as open the message or mark as unread. >> > >> > 1.1 did not allow marking the msg as unread from the msg list. So whenever I exited a msg and forgot to mark it, I would have to open it again, wait for it to download and then mark. >> > >> > Have I overlooked this function in 2.0? Its a really useful function because I use that to remind me to read more carefully or respond to an email (basically save for later) >> > >> > Thanks and again, what a massive improvement to the software! >> > >> > >> > -- >> > 73 Eugene W2HX |
