For now, I strongly suggest installing the latest 2.0.0.x beta build 
instead of the trunk development snapshots.  I've been doing a lot of 
work fixing minor issues on the 2.0 branch, and have not yet merged 
anything back to trunk.  So in the short term, the 2.0 beta builds will 
have the latest code.

I also remember fixing a context menu issue recently, which may have been 
the cause of your issue.  (its not a feature I need to implement, but just 
a case where I probably wasn't including the field's default context menu 
items like I should have.)

So give the latest 2.0 beta build a try, and see how it works.
